FAQ
Getting started
What is Let's MatchUp?
Let's MatchUp helps you create leagues, organize 1vs1 matches and tournaments, track results, follow leaderboards and unlock cosmetic rewards with your friends.
Do I need to create a league to use the app?
No. You can create your own league or join an existing league with an invite code, QR code or invite link.
Can I use Let's MatchUp with friends only?
Yes. You can create a private league and invite only the players you want.
Can I switch between leagues?
Yes. If you are part of multiple leagues, you can switch your active league from the league or profile area.
Why is my league request pending?
Some leagues require approval. A League Leader or Co-Leader needs to accept your request before you can fully access that league.
Leagues
How do I create a league?
From the league area, choose the option to create a new league, enter the required details and invite your players once the league is ready.
How do I join a league?
You can join a league using an invite code, a QR code or an invite link shared by another player.
Can I join multiple leagues?
Yes. You can be part of multiple leagues and choose which one is active when using the app.
What is a League Leader?
A League Leader manages the league, members, tournaments and league settings.
What can a Co-Leader do?
A Co-Leader can help manage the league, accept or reject members and support tournament organization, depending on the available permissions.
Can I invite players who do not have the app yet?
Yes. You can share an invite link or QR code. They can download the app and then request to join your league.
Can rejected members request to join again?
Yes. A rejected member can send a new request if they still have a valid invite code, QR code or invite link.
Tournaments
Which tournament types are supported?
Depending on your league, you can create tournaments for tennis singles, tennis doubles, padel and ping pong.
How do I create a tournament?
League Leaders can create a tournament by choosing the sport or format, setting registration dates, adding details such as description, location, entry fee and currency, and then confirming the tournament.
Can I add a location, fee and currency?
Yes. When creating or editing a tournament, a League Leader can add a location, an optional entry fee and the currency used for that tournament.
Can I edit a tournament after creating it?
Yes. League Leaders can use the edit button to update tournament details such as name, description, location, registration dates, fee and currency while the tournament is still editable. Some changes may be limited once the bracket or results already exist.
How do registrations work?
When registrations are open, eligible players can register. When registrations close, new players can no longer join and the League Leader can generate or manage the bracket depending on the tournament status.
What does “Random Order” mean?
Random Order creates pairings randomly, without using the leaderboard position to decide the bracket order.
What does “Ranking-based Seeding” mean?
Ranking-based Seeding uses the current ranking to place players or teams in the bracket in a more balanced way.
Can I manually edit the pairings?
If manual editing is available, a League Leader can adjust the first-round pairings before the bracket is locked or before results are entered.
Why can't I register for a tournament?
Registrations may not be open, may already be closed, the bracket may already exist, you may already be registered or you may not be eligible for that tournament.
Can I delete a tournament?
League Leaders can delete a tournament when needed. If registrations, brackets, matches or results already exist, deleting it may affect the related tournament data.
Matches
How do I enter the result of a 1vs1 match?
Open the 1vs1 match, choose the option to enter the result, add the score and confirm. The app will update the match history and leaderboard where applicable.
Can I schedule a match for later?
Yes. You can schedule a match and enter the result once the match has been played.
Can I edit, cancel or rewind a result?
Depending on your permissions and the match status, a result can be corrected, cancelled or rewound when needed.
What happens if I cancel or rewind a match?
The app removes the result from the valid history and updates stats and leaderboards so the cancelled match no longer counts.
Can I play 1vs1 matches outside tournaments?
Yes. If your league supports 1vs1 matches, you can schedule and record direct matches outside tournaments.
What happens if nobody enters the result?
The match stays scheduled or pending until a player enters the result or a League Leader manages it.
Leaderboard & stats
How does the leaderboard work?
The leaderboard is based on valid match results in the active league. Wins, losses and tournament results can affect ranking and stats depending on the league format.
Why did my leaderboard change after a result was edited?
When a result is changed, cancelled or rewound, the app recalculates the affected stats and ranking data.
Do tournament matches count in my stats?
Yes. Valid tournament matches can contribute to your match history, stats and leaderboard.
Do doubles and padel matches count differently?
Doubles and padel matches can be tracked as team-based results while still contributing to player stats where supported.
Can I see my match history?
Yes. You can review your past matches and results from the leaderboard, profile or match history areas.
Rewards
What are rewards?
Rewards are cosmetic items such as app icons, avatar effects, avatar rings and name styles.
How do I unlock rewards?
Rewards can be unlocked through invites or used temporarily while they are live during special events.
What are Live Rewards?
Live Rewards are temporary cosmetic items available only during a limited-time event.
What happens when a Live Reward ends?
When the live event ends, the temporary reward is no longer available and you lose access to it unless it becomes available again in the future.
Can I change my app icon?
Yes. If an app icon is available to you, you can select it from the rewards area.
Why didn't my app icon change immediately?
iOS may temporarily delay or limit repeated app icon changes. Waiting a moment or restarting the device can help.
Can other players see my cosmetics?
Yes. Supported cosmetics can appear in areas such as avatars, profiles, leaderboards, chats and league screens.
Safety & account
Is my data safe?

Can I delete my account?
Yes. You can request account deletion from Settings. Your account access is removed and related personal data is removed or anonymized where required.
What happens to my matches if I delete my account?
Your personal data is removed or anonymized. Some league or match records may remain in anonymous form to keep league history consistent.
Can I report inappropriate behavior?
Yes. You can report inappropriate behavior so it can be reviewed and managed.
